Why does it use Low Power mode when it's still 96% charged?

On my MacBook Air (M1, 2020), the battery status in the menu bar has started showing the yellow Low Power Mode indicator even when the battery has lots of charge (like 96%). Why is that?

Battery condition is "Normal", max capacity is 84%, optimized battery charging is (and always has been) enabled.

MacBook Air 2020 battery charging stops at 99 Hi everyone. I was recently charging my MacBook Air 2020 which is running MacOS Tahoe 26.2. When I unplugged my laptop, it was at presumably 100% battery. When I checked what it was charged to in the settings app, it said it only charged to 99%. What is the issue here? Thanks in advance.
