Open a local html file on my iPhone

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to view a local HTML file on my iPhone but haven't found a straightforward way to do this. I've got the files saved on my iPhone in a local folder and want to open it with either Safari or Vivaldi. I tried to write a shortcut and tried some other ways to open the file but it wont let me do this.

I got a few different error messages but if I use the shortcut it tells me that Safari / Vivaldi is not installed. Which is not true.

Have you found a way to open a local html file and how did you achieve that? This seems totally strange to me... I have all I need but only want to open a local file and it wont work, why?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Yours truly, Uwe

Thanks for your reply SravanKrA! It seems your article is about accessing shared files over LAN. I understand that this may be a workaround to access a html file.

But all I want is to open a simple html file on my ihphone - I have a browser (even two) I have a file, I have enough space, all the necessities are accomplished. But it wont budge and let me opening a file? I have even written this html file myself. It is tough to believe that I am only able to open files online ... but that seems so odd to me.
