Problem with audio extraction HDMI - Apple tv 4k

My tv-screen has poor audio and only analog audio-out. Tried to connect to my old fashioned, but high end sound system through a HDMI audio-extractor and digital-analog converter. This seemed to work perfectly, but after a day the video went on black. Tried again, same result.

Suggestion of the supplier customer service was that this could have to do with DRM. De device thinks I am recording illegal stuff.

Anyone with a view on this and a possible solution?

Apple TV 4K, tvOS 18

Apple TV requires a direct HDMI connection. There will never be a guarantee with other methods, and even if it works initially it would cease at any time. All commercial content that is streamed will be protected with DRM and require HDPC compliance, which will not work with converters. You may not have intention to do anything that is against the law but those protocols are in place to prevent such from occurring.

If you want to use connect to modern devices you will need to upgrade your sound system.
