The bluetooth on my iPhone just keeps spinning, never finding any devices.
The device connects to my iPad just fine.
What might be the problem?

Thanks. I think maybe my pairing did not transfer from my old phone.
So I DID have to put the device in pairing mode and then my iPhone found it,
A device must be in Pairing Mode before it will be “seen” in Settings/Bluetooth. Bluetooth devices can only be paired with a small number of phones or tablets. Some can only sync to one, many can sync to two. A very few (like cars) can sync to many.
Right on! Yes, Bluetooth pairings do not transfer; the use the device MAC address to identify the paired device, so when you move to a new iPhone you need to pair again.
