How do I restore App titles on the latest update for my iPad ?

Hello gib9099,
You probably selected "Large" icons; this makes the app titles disappear.
To choose "Small" icons (and show the app titles), press the screen until the icons giggle, tap Edit (top left), choose Customize and select "Small" at the bottom of the screen.
