push mail iPhone/iPad OS18.3.2 - works unreliably and sometimes not at all

I have this problem as well - no mail unless I manually open the mail app on my iPhone 15 Pro (iOS 18.3.2), which in turn means I'm not getting notifications on my Apple Watch (series 9). I've tried every suggestion I can find to fix it but nothing is solving the issue. It started about a week ago.

So frustrating.......

From what I understand from info outside this forum, not all iCloud mail (push) users, or perhaps even a small minority, are experiencing this issue. If that's true then it's quite likely Apple won't be 'pushing' out a point release to fix this one problem.

I'm pretty tech savvy but can someone explain to me how not all users are experiencing the same issue from a native Apple application? Is it because I use Apple's email server (e.g. email@mac.com), not a third party email application (e.g. email@gmail.com)? Does that put me in "the minority?"

Same problem here too, and I have my mail set to manual and still not syncing. I also lost all of my sent mail on my icloud email, this is BS! It has also created new folders on my mail app on my phone, Deleted Messages, Drafts, and Sent Messages, which my emails did not go in there. Those folders do not show up when I log into my account on a PC! Also I cannot view files in my icloud folder on my Iphone (14 Pro), what gives APPLE! you first give us the categories with the silly icons for our mail and now this??? totally unacceptable!

Yes, I believe it does. But consider that a small minority of iPhone users still number in the thousands. By now there would have been a major hue and cry if this bug affected all users. We'll likely never know what they broke or why the effects were limited. They're pretty tight-lipped and many fixes are incorporated into releases without notice. My switch to Fetch at 15-minute intervals is still working. I'm sorry it's not working for others that are affected by this bug.

My iPhone 14 pro had the same issue and I tried some ways which had been discussed online, then luckily succeeded to get notifications for these several days.

But, today I upgraded to iOS 18.4, it back to not pushing notifications for the iCloud email.

It seems iOS 18.4 does not resolve this issue yet, we may have to wait next minor upgrade.

Yes, I've tried all the options which I did when tried in iOS 18.3.2 (once disable and re-enable iCloud email, then switch back to enable push notifications, etc. except setting to a 15-min interval). No notification sound, no vibration during lock state. But it can't help.

Same problem. No push no notifications and that's across iCloud and exchange on iOS 18 32.

Same here - iPhone, iPad, and Mac all updated with the latest this week, and then Push on Mail broke.

How did you roll back to 18.3.1?

Same here. Wondering how many people need to have this issue for them to realise something broke.

Same here for me in the UK, since the 18.3.2 update I have to manually refresh the mail app to get any emails.

Are there step by step instructions available on how to do this because I’m not familiar with this process.
