PDF does not open correctly on Mac.

“Mac. I'm posting this solution: Open the PDF in Preview, (right click file, open in preview), when it's open, ctrl P. When print dialogue opens up, look at the bottom where is says PDF. Click on the arrow. Do not save as a PDF, scroll down to the bottom where is says save as ADOBE PDF. That should work.”

Do you have Adobe Acrobat installed? That would make this “Adobe PDF” come up as the default.

Thanks - I did not have the option of "Save as ADOBE PDF" but I did a SAVE AS PDF and it all works now.

No idea why it would not work in the first place, I even installed the latest version of acrobat reader and rebooted my mac, but it simply would not display the content after opening.

That Save as Adobe PDF would only be present and functional with a compatible installation of Adobe Acrobat Pro, not Adobe Acrobat Reader. It may be present from a previous Adobe Acrobat Pro installation or a removed Acrobat Pro Trial, even though that may not be installed now.

Most, but not every PDF is compatible with Apple's Preview and will open correctly if the PDF is not otherwise damaged.

There is no Save As Adobe pdf in this dropdown or pop-up menu. I am using Sequoia 15.3.2. Most of my .pdf's open nearly blank in Adobe Reader, but display fine in Preview.

I concur. Now I have to open all these .pdf's in Preview and choose Save as PDF from the Print Dialog. What a hassle. Was this a fault with Adobe or MacOS? I wish the powers that be would advise.
