Preview crashing when printing pdf files, alternative pdf viewers working normally

Macbook M3 Max running Sonoma 14.5 keeps crashing when using Preview to open pdf files and then print, resulting in an immediate crash, report included from most recent crash;

Update your macOS to 14.7.4 and see if that cures the crashing when printing this PDF from Preview. When you look at System Settings > General > Software Update, it will predominantly show Sequoia v15.3.1, but as you scroll down, you will see Another Update is available with More Info… showing as a link to Sonoma 14.7.4. That will install only the current version of Sonoma, not Sequoia. It may offer Safari 18.3 too.


Does that PDF view correctly in Preview, or only in your alternative PDF readers?
