How do I change the colour of my folders from the standard blue to other colours? I have searched but can only see it´s possible to change it into a picture

The easiest way would be to use Color Folder Master or similar app from the App Store. $1.99
There is no color control built in. Folders are blue.
You can download a different icon or picture of a folder In a different color and make that the icon for the specific folder if you want however.
There is also a way to do some very limited folder color adjustment using Preview. If you want to know how to do that, let us know. Color Folder Master or similar app is a better choice.
