Bluetooth connectivity issues with iPhone 16e and MacBook Pro (Sequoia)

It will not connect via bluetooth (except Neocore speaker). I feel like throwing the 'phone in the rubbish ... I bought it yesterday and have had so many issues that I hate it. Can any one help please?

What are you trying to accomplish? Pairing an iPhone with a computer has never been supported. It’s completely unnecessary. AirDrop, handoff, continuity, etc. don’t require traditional Bluetooth pairing.

Hello,
(See 'Kilted Tim below), I am trying to use the mirroring as described for Sequoia, and use bluetooth earbuds.
Thank you for helping.

Direct bluetooth connection is not required for that, and as said is not possible. You only need to have Bluetooth turned on on both devices.

For the earbuds make sure they have been unpaired for any other device, and place them in pairing mode per their own instructions.

Hello, I am advised that to achieve 'phone mirroring, (Sequoia) WiFi & Bluetooth should be activated. Also, I have

Soundcore ear buds which should connect to the16E via Bluetooth: they don't appear on the 'phones list of devices. Surely these things would not be the case if the Bluetooth was unnecessary? Neocore Wave bluetooth speakers connected straightaway - thank you for a swift response.
