iPad mini 5 front camera not working with 'iPad needs to cool down' error despite normal temperature

My iPad mini 5 front camera doesn’t work, saying “iPad needs to cool down before you can use the flash.”

Obviously, the iPad mini 5 doesn’t have a flash, and it’s the middle of winter here. The outside temperature is below 10°C, so there is no reason for it to be overheated and show that kind of message.

I even tried putting the iPad in the refrigerator for 5 minutes, and it showed the same message.

I’ve googled and found some posts saying that updating the OS to 18.2, restarting the device, or doing a factory resetwould fix it, but none of them worked for me.

I really need some advice from someone who has solved this nonsense.
