Dropped my iPad on terrazzo floor and ran over with a Rollator walker. Pretty bad shape. I’m 80 yrs old. I’m still under apple care warranty, will this be covered. Don’t drive will have to mail in.,

Your standard iPad warranty does not cover accidental damage.
However, if you have benefit of an active AppleCare+ plan (this being an additional cost item when you originally purchased a new iPad), being an insurance product, AppleCare+ does cover accidental damage while the plan remains current.
For practical purposes, in lieu of repairing and returning your own iPad, Apple usually exchange the iPad for a renewed/refurbished iPad of the same model and specification. If you have an active AppleCare+ plan, the cost of repair is just a small excess/deductible fee.
