Why does my MacBook Pro require a charger to start up despite sufficient battery charge?

My MacBook Pro has sufficient charge but still requires the charger to be connected when starting up. I took it to the Apple Store for a hardware check, and they found no issues. I also reinstalled the OS, and the battery lasts 5-6 hours normally. Before reinstalling, I tried resetting the SMC and PRAM, but the issue persisted.

When I brought it to the Apple Store, reason that taking enough time , the technician confirmed that there were no hardware issues and suggested reinstalling the OS as a possible solution. However, even after completing the reinstallation, the problem remains the same.

What could be causing this issue, and what is the possible solution?

I see this a lot with Intel Macs and suspect a Logic Board issue since I've seen it occur even with a brand new Apple OEM replacement battery. The Logic Board loses connection with the battery. When this happens, the laptop usually needs to be connected to the power adapter in order to power on the laptop even if the battery has over 50% charge. Usually this is just an intermittent issue from what I've seen. If this occurs all the time, then it likely indicates a hardware issue that needs to be addressed & repaired.

If you have a 2018+ MBPro with T2 security chip, then make sure you are performing the SMC Reset correctly since the procedure has changed.

I personally don't recommend repairing any Intel Mac with USB-C ports for multiple reasons. The money spent on repairs is better put towards a new laptop.
