How can I safely dispose of my Apple Watch parts?

Having been unable to unpair my Apple Watch from an iPhone I no longer have access to, I decided to mercilessly beat my Apple Watch on my desk, so that now my desk is covered with sparkles.

My question is as to how to properly dispose of the remains of my, now faceless, Apple Watch.

Put them in a bag and drop it in the electronics recycling bin at your local electronics retailer. Some cities have dedicated computer/electronics recycle drop offs.
