How do I get my MacBook Pro to stop spontaneously changing my Mac address?

Hello MareBear5,

This is a security feature which is turned on by default (I think). You can turn it off: Use private Wi-Fi addresses on Apple devices - Apple Support.

MacBook Local Hostname I have an Apple M1 MacBook Pro running Ventura. A few days ago I did a factory reset of my Macbook and reinstalled macOS due to an issue with my computer lagging. Yesterday I logged into Eduroam WiFi, and today when I opened up my laptop from sleep mode (I was on the same Eduroam network), I received a random popup that said the following: This computer's local hostname "----Macbook-pro.local" is already in use on this network. The name has been changed to "------Macbook-Pro-2.local" To change the local hostname, open system preferences and click sharing, then click "edit" and type the name in the local hostname field. Please advise if the factory reset caused this issue since I am using the same network that I used before the reset. Interestingly, this popup did not appear when I used my home wifi. I also read somewhere that there could be some unauthorized access into my computer, but I spoke with an Apple advisor who dismissed that issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cannot remove Apple ID from Mac In Settings > Internet Accounts I have a second Apple ID I don't use and I want to remove from my Mac. In "Apps Using iCloud" all is off, and I do not use the account anywhere else (including on my Mac). When clicking "Delete Account..." either "There was an error loading the account details." at the top or the pop up "The operation couldn’t be completed. (com.apple.extensionKit.errorDomain error 15.)" appears. And I do not know if it is really because of this, but when clicking the delete account button, my MacBook becomes very hot and the fans are turning on. I think there is something really wrong.

Apple ID sign in not located I cannot see the Apple ID sign in on my Macbook Air. I am running Sonoma 14.5. I know it should be in system settings, over "Wi-Fi" but it is not there. I tried starting in safe mode, no change. Very frustrating.
