How do I enable scanning feature in Notes app on iPhone?

I am attempting to use the scanning feature in my notes app. I am at a standstill, unable to make the upgrade it calls for because I cannot see any means to do so.

You can scan a document in Notes by pressing the Camera icon, then choose Scan Documents. Put the page in view, and it defaults to automatically taking a picture, but you can also press the shutter button also. When you are done scanning all of your pages, press Save.
