Trying to identify used iCloud storage

Hello everyone, I am now trying to manage my iCloud storage space. When deleting some files I decide to not using Apple Drive and deleting all the files. Confusion coming when I don't have any single files in my Drive but the iCloud system still showing there's few space taken for iCloud Drive. Could anyone help me to identify this issue.

iCloud Drive Storing It ALL:

No. Documents is part of iCloud Drive. Documents folder is a folder type of its own. Add your Desktop and Documents Files to iCloud Drive - Apple Support


Seeing if Desktop & Documents Folders is Toggled On:

  1. Go to: Apple menu
  2. Click: System Settings
  3. Click: Apple Account (top-left item).
  4. Click: iCloud
  5. Click Drive in Saved to iCloud
  6. See if: Sync this Mac is toggled on.
  7. See if: Desktop & Documents Folders is toggled on

See what's Eating Up your iCloud Space:

For what is shown, it is mostly iCloud Backup. So, see what you device is using for backup:

On an iPhone or iPad:

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: Your Name (Top Item)
  3. Tap: iCloud
  4. View: what is toggles on (green)


B. On a Mac:

Is Contacts enabled in Apple ID on your Mac? If not, enable it.

  1. Go to: System Settings
  2. Click: Apple ID (top item)
  3. Click: iCloud
  4. Click: See All
  5. View: what is "On" and is toggled on (green).
