How do I remove an Xbox controller (bluetooth device) from my MacBook Air's Bluetooth settings?

I've been trying to play Minecraft Java in my MacBook Air with an Xbox controller. And although it is now added to my devices when I go to preferences, the controller doesn't appear in the Menu bar and when I try to delate it (pressing "x" to remove it), I can't, because the "x" button is overlapped by the options button. So if I try to click it it just opens more options. I don't know what else to do.

-------

Add Bluetooth to Menubar:

  1. Go to: System Settings
  2. Select: Control Center
  3. Select: "Show in Menu Bar" for Bluetooth

Then...

Reomve from this Device:

  1. Hold Down: option key on the keyboard
  2. Click: Bluetooth icon in the taskbar
  3. Find: the controller in the list
  4. Select: Remove
