Why does the back of some boxes have a big picture of AirPods Max and some the picture is very small. Are the ones with the big picture fake? I see a lot on FB or OfferUp that are selling from $300 to $180. Some have the big pic some have the small pic. People swear they are real. They same new never open etc....Can you providing any help in this matter.

Unfortunately, unless you purchase the AirPods directly from Apple or one of their authorized retailers, it is almost impossible to tell if they are fake.

Boxes can be re-sealed to look like new. Serial numbers can be spoofed. I'm afraid I have no advice to offer regarding box sizes. You should know that if they are pre-owned, this is what the seller should do before selling them, otherwise you may not be able to use them.

Thanks for the info. But I was mainly talking about the AirPods pic on some boxed they are big and take up the whole back of the box where others the pic is tiny
