Tried several ways to download images shared through HEIC, suspect it was an android phone that sent them not iPhone, restarted the phone to no avail, any thoughts about how to resolve this?
What ways are you attempting to download them?
What iPhone model and iOS version are you using?
iPhones support HEIC (they were the first to do so in 2017 when the standard was published), so if your iPhone can’t view them the image file is most likely corrupt.
