MacBook Pro not booting right.

I was closing my MacBook Pro 2019 (intel) and a piece of my back pack handle accidentally got caught in between the screen and the keyboard. I opened it and I saw that the screen was damaged with a smudge of ink at the bottom right corner. I decided to turn it off so I did and after turning it back on, the screen is black. I connect it to my external display(a monitor) but nothing shows up except for when I boot it and press “cmd + R” which takes me to the Recovery assistant app. Then It shows on the monitor.
