Hi, It sounds like YouCam 4B is having compatibility issues specifically with the front camera on the iPad Mini 6. Since the app works on the iPad Mini 5 but not on the Mini 6, here are some possible reasons and troubleshooting steps:

Possible Causes:

1. Camera Hardware Differences:

• The iPad Mini 6 has a 12 MP ultra-wide front camera with Center Stage, while the iPad Mini 5 has a 7 MP standard front camera.

• If YouCam 4B is not optimized for the ultra-wide camera, it might fail to detect faces correctly.

2. App Compatibility Issue:

• The app might not be fully updated for iPad Mini 6’s camera API.

• Older versions of the app may not recognize the new camera hardware.

3. Camera Permissions Issue:

• The app may not have the correct access to the front camera.

4. Face Detection Algorithm Differences:

• The iPad Mini 6 has different Face ID-related technologies, and the app’s face detection may not be adapted to them.

Troubleshooting Steps:

1. Check App Permissions

Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera, and ensure YouCam 4B has permission to use the camera.

2. Force Restart the iPad Mini 6

• Press and quickly release the Volume Up button.

• Press and quickly release the Volume Down button.

• Press and hold the Power button until you see the Apple logo.

3. Check for App Updates

• Open the App Store > Tap your profile picture > Scroll to YouCam 4B > Tap Update if available.

4. Reinstall the App

• Delete YouCam 4B and reinstall it from the App Store.

5. Try a Different Camera Mode

• If the app has different modes, try switching between them (e.g., portrait mode, AI skin analysis mode, etc.).

6. Test the Front Camera in Other Apps

• Open the Camera app and switch to the front camera.

• Check if it works correctly.

• Also, try another face-scanning app (like FaceTime or Snapchat) to see if they detect faces properly.

7. Contact YouCam Support Again

Since you already reported the issue to PerfectCorp, you can follow up and ask if they are working on an update for iPad Mini 6 compatibility.

If the issue persists, it’s likely a software incompatibility with the new camera hardware, and you may have to wait for an app update.
