Apple Watch Series 3 version OS 8.8.1 - Control Centre Not working

with the new update you need to press the side button to access the control centre - but my watch only brings up recently viewed apps. I see others have mentioned this too but there is now answer on how to fix this.

I need to be able to ping my iphone.

I have done a reset and unpaired/paired watch.

Still not working.

Can I access the control centre another way?

Hello ReeBlu,

If memory serves, on watchOS 8, the Control Center opens by swiping the screen up.

Thankyou. It wasn't working - but after the unpair/pair - the swipe up worked - was too busy concentrating on the side button. Swipe up definitely didn't work before though unpair/pair.
