so i tried to change my wp earlier today but when i hit “done” it doesn’t work and it’s being unresponsive to my touch and that part of my phone it beat up and is flattened out no screen protector works what should i do

Sounds like your screen digitizer may be broken, or even worse more damage than that from how you describe it. As such I would recommend you make a reservation at your nearest Apple Store’s Genius Bar or an Apple Authorized Service Provider for evaluation and service options.
