Steps to remove Apple ID and Activation Lock after acceptance

Recently I have been having problems where my Apple ID and Icloud has been locked and disabled.

I have contacted apple before, and each time they tell me this is an issue where I would need to go through a removal of the activation lock.

I submitted the request yesterday with all the required information, and today I received the email saying I was accepted to do so.

They told me to follow some steps, however when following them it did not seem to work.

The link given to me by apple send me here: If you can't update or restore your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support

  1. I found it odd that I couldn't find anything saying this had to do with removing activation lock.
  2. When using the apple devices app and doing the button presses to connect my phone it didn't work.

What are the steps to remove activation lock once I have been accepted?

The instructions assume that you know your Apple ID and Apple ID Password.

Do you?

If what you are really saying is that you have forgotten your Apple and/or Password, the procedure is completely different. You have to send the original bill of sale listing your name and the serial number of the iPhone to Apple.

Apple will take 30 days or more to approve your request.

Regardless of if I know my Apple ID or password, I cannot even try to change the password as any attempt at using the email with Icloud or Apple in general gets denied because the account has been disabled by apple.

Apple had told me that they could not reactivate my account, and thus I would need to submit a request to get the activation lock removed.

As I had stated previously, I did so yesterday, and they emailed me today saying they approved my request.

The instructions however are not working for me in trying to get the apple ID removed, which is disabled (not that I don't know the password).

You are going to have to await the time allotted. So, stop unsuccessfully logging in, and wait for the time to pass. When logging in, disable all VPN connections that you have, as login issues and lagging can occur.
