If an iPhone really overheats, it displays a thermometer on the screen and advises you the phone cannot be used until it cools down. If you aren't seeing a thermometer nor getting a warning, your iPhone isn't overheating. Depending on what you may be doing on your phone, such as using the camera, streaming video, playing games and even charging it, it's natural for the battery to generate heat when it is pushed hard.


It might be more helpful if you give us more information about what you're doing when you think the phone is overheating.
