iPhone phone interpretation/call recording question…

Hello! I have a question! It seems that automatic call recording appeared for a while in iOS 18.1 and then disappeared again. Let me ask here! As a VoiceOver user, is there a shortcut/gesture that allows me to record calls directly without having to go through each call recording feature when making or receiving calls on my iPhone? And how do I use phone interpretation when talking to foreigners on my iPhone? And one more question! When I call Apple Korea, I can usually contact them in Korean for general cases, but why is there an option to contact them in English? There is no separate contact number for the Ease of Use department in Korea! If I have to call the US headquarters, can I do it with a phone purchased in Korea? When I try to make an international call/message, I get a message saying that international calls are not supported!

My device is on iOS 18.3.2, the call recording feature still exists.

To make an international call from an iPhone, your carrier must support international calling or roaming. Whether it's placing international calls, sending international SMS, or using cellular data abroad, these features depend entirely on your carrier's plan and settings.

Key Points:

  1. Carrier Support is Essential: iPhones do not have a built-in setting to enable or disable international calling. Instead, your carrier determines whether your number can place or receive international calls and texts.
  2. Activation May Be Required: Some carriers require you to enable international calling manually through their website, app, or customer support. International roaming may also need activation before traveling.
  3. Costs Apply: International calls and SMS may incur additional charges, which vary by carrier and destination. Some carriers offer international calling plans or packages to reduce costs.
  4. Roaming for Calls & Data: If you're traveling, international roaming must be enabled for calls, texts, and data usage abroad. This is different from just making an international call from your home country.
  5. Wi-Fi Calling Alternative: Some carriers allow Wi-Fi Calling for international calls, which may be free or charged at domestic rates depending on the carrier's policy.

If you’re unsure whether international calling is enabled on your plan, contact your carrier before making a call to avoid unexpected charges.
