Why is Camera app showing a black screen on my iPhone 12 mini?

iOS 18.4 was released today so you might get lucky with the update fixing something. If it doesn’t, you’ll need to have Apple take a peek under the hood.

You need to have Apple perform diagnostics on your iPhone. It can be done in person at an Apple Retail Store or at an Apple Authorized Service Provider. You can also contact Apple Support and request remote diagnostics.

I have a iPhone 15 that suddenly shows a black screen after software update to 18.3.2. It takes pictures still but obviously not in a useful way. Should we expect a fix for this? As a commentary this is reflective of apples slide over the last couple of years and will be my last iphone
