My macbook pro m4 wont connect to my JBL nwc 230 :(

No matter what I try when I open bluetooth my macbook cant recognize my jbl nwc 230 earbuds, does anyone have a solution?

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 15.3

make sure they do not have an active connection with another device

and then put the headset into pairing mode
