How can I prevent overheating while charging my iPhone 16 Pro Max?

My iPhone 16 pro max got heated while charging I felt it while touching it.

Now I feel like the display has got little bit hazy(grayness) specially in dark environments.

Can heat during charging damage iPhone display?

Troubleshooting an Overheating iPhone:

Perform the following:


I. Cool Down the iPhone:

For a few hours, perform the following...

  • Power Off: the iPhone for a bit
  • Unplug: any Cables
  • Place it Atop: Laptop Cooler
  • Keep it in: an open space
  • Keep it Out of: direct sunlight


then...


2. Clear Space Using my User Tips:

See if you need to clear lots of space. System resources may be using up too much services, making it overheat. Internal storage cannot be upgraded. It is what it is. So, the maximum internal storage capacity never increases, even if you upgraded your iCloud plan. Learn More here: What's the Difference Between Device Storage and iCloud Storage? Apple Support

Overheating Harming the iPhone Screen:

Yes, this can cause damage. So, let it cool for a bit. If you see any lumps, then that indicates your battery is expanding and should get this serviced. So, do you see any lumps on the iPhone? If so, it is corroding, and that makes this a health hazard. So, if corrosion is occurring, you should get this serviced, ASAP.

A. Contacting Apple Support:


B. Contacting an AASP:

Also, look into taking it to an AASP(Apple Authorized Service Provider) seeing if they offer service for this.

  1. Go Here: Find Locations - Apple Authorized Reseller
  2. Click: Service & Support
  3. Enter: your location information
  4. See: if there is an AASP nearby
  5. Contact: an AASP that shows up, and find out more about the services that they offer to fix the iPhone
