If your iPhone 15 Plus is taking screenshots automatically without you pressing the buttons or using Back Tap, try these troubleshooting steps:

Please go to the shortcuts app and make sure there isn’t an automation being ran

1. Check for Hardware Issues

Your volume up + power button combination might be getting triggered unintentionally.

• Try removing the case to see if it’s pressing on the buttons.

• Test by pressing each button individually to check for any stickiness or unintentional activation.

2. Disable Back Tap (Even If You Didn’t Enable It)

Sometimes, accessibility settings can be turned on unintentionally.

• Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Back Tap

• Set Double Tap and Triple Tap to None

3. Check for iOS Glitches

A software bug might be causing this issue. Try these steps:

• Restart Your iPhone – Hold the power + volume up buttons and slide to turn off, then turn it back on.

• Update iOS – Go to Settings > General > Software Update and install any pending updates.

4. Check for Third-Party Apps

Some apps may interfere with screenshot behavior.

• Restart your phone in Safe Mode by turning it off, then turning it back on while holding the volume up button until the home screen appears.

• If the issue stops in Safe Mode, a third-party app might be the cause. Consider uninstalling any recently installed or suspicious apps.

5. Reset All Settings

If the issue persists, resetting all settings can fix underlying software issues:

• Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset All Settings

• This won’t delete your data, but it will reset preferences like Wi-Fi passwords and wallpapers.

6. Factory Reset (Last Resort)

If nothing else works, you might need a factory reset:

• Back up your data first via iCloud or iTunes.

• Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Erase All Content and Settings.

• Set up your iPhone as new and test before restoring from backup.

7. Contact Apple Support

If the issue continues, it could be a hardware defect. Visit an Apple Store or contact Apple Support for further diagnosis.
