My MacBook Pro M1 restarts after shutting down and leaving lid open

Hi All - MacBook M1 2020 restarts after shutting down with cursor if the is lid left open. Any advice appreciated! Thanks

Macbook Air M3 screen stays black when laptop lid is opened Upon opening the laptop lid, instead of the screen waking up, it remains black. Pressing any key makes no difference. The only way to get it to wake up is to hold down the power button and restart it. Is this a known issue? I saw an old post reporting this same problem with an M1 MacBook Air (although the M1 MacBook Air I had previously never displayed this behavior). I ran Apple Diagnostics and it reports no issues. Please advise - TIA.

No idea what that is but all sorted thanks - just needed to ensure USB power was unplugged....................
