It seems all your settings are correct. You need to have Apple perform diagnostics on your iPhone. It can be done in person at an Apple Retail Store or at an Apple Authorized Service Provider. You can also contact Apple Support and request remote diagnostics.

To understand the problem you need to see the phone in reality but that is not possible so I demonstrate it through the photo app and with the exact settings as I see the screen, in the country where I live the climate is not hot, this thing appears from the sun hitting the sensors next to Face ID
The screenshot looks like the Photos app. Photos is for editing/adjusting photos (screenshots) etc. That’s not a control for your screen.
What iPhone and what iOS version are you using? Does it only happen outside in the sun? Is it hot where you are?

I’m not sure the problem you’re trying to illustrate in the screenshot. It looks normal. Why show a normal picture? If trying to demonstrate the issue, share a screenshot that displays exactly what you are seeing.

Your is different from contrast.
In really bright light the pupil constricts and lets light in. This makes the screen appear darker in bright light.
I live in Clearwater, FL and the extremely bright light we have here, does this to everyone’s phone, not just iPhones. I see it frequently at the beach. Everyone shading their phone to see the screen.
I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max, and it happens to me in the sun. Whenever I use the phone in direct sunlight, the brightness of the screen becomes as if there's no brightness, even though the brightness is full. It becomes okay when I am no longer in the sun.
