I have a iPhone 17 Pro Max. I will use the pull down control center to set the brightness of my screen. Everyday it will change on its own. Sometimes more than once a day. It’s really annoying. It doesn’t do this on my iPad just my iPhone. Do I need to take my phone in for service? Has my phone been hacked and someone is changing the screen brightness? It’s so annoying.

Go to Settings > Display and Brightness and turn off Automatic.

Adaptive Power mode will also reduce brightness to conserve battery power. You can turn this off, but you’ll notice increased battery consumption on a daily basis. If that’s not a concern, follow this path,
iPhone > Settings > Battery > Power Mode > Adaptive Power > disable
