While you did go out of your way to make this app visible, every iPhone and iPad already and always has this app.
Every iPhone and every iPad can be used for app testing, and this is part of how that works.
App testing also involves cabling an iPhone or iPad to a Mac, and enabling the built-in Developer Mode feature.
Developer Mode allows side-loading apps, but does not otherwise override iPhone and iPad security.
There are hidden details many don’t realize about iPhone and iPad, and using those benign and expected details as part of causing fear can be profitable to some. Xcode app previews, developer mode, the trust store, telemetry data, all sorts of benign and harmless and normal things can be used to profit from or to even scam iPhone and iPad users, too.
Again, hide the app. Or relegate the app to the last page of app icons, and ignore it.
