There is one issue with Siri. For example, I set a timer to three minutes. I told Siri to add ten minutes on. But instead of just doing it, she said “What would you like to change the timer to?” or something like that. And sometimes when I ask her a specific basic question, she can’t understand. Are you guys experiencing this?

Part of getting, what seems like simple instruction to work, is our phrasing of the instructions.
For example, I tell Siri to set a 5 minute timer. Then I tell her to extend the timer X amount of minutes or seconds. Works every time.
I can generally get Siri to do what ever I want by rephrasing my instructions. But repeating the same instructions over and over and expecting a different result is said to be the definition of insanity. 😀😀

Why would she not understand “add” but “extend”? They technically have the same meaning!
I don’t know why, but when something doesn’t work, I try something different until it works.

It might that Siri on the newer models is getting smarter, so to speak. I tried a number of timer scenarios with my iPhone XR and Siri didn't understand a thing. iPhone 16 and 15 models, no problem.
I mean that’s basically the equivalent of the majority of those questions but okkkkkkk
