MacBook Air M2 Has Wrong (Greek) Keyboard – Can Apple Replace or Help?
Hello Apple Community,
I recently purchased a MacBook Air M2 from an Apple Authorized Reseller (Public.cy) in Cyprus. When I opened the box, I realized the device had a Greek keyboard layout, which was not disclosed at the time of purchase.
I have not powered on or used the MacBook — I noticed the layout immediately and placed it back in the box. I went back to the reseller to request an exchange for a Mac with an English (QWERTY) keyboard, but they refused and handled the situation very poorly.
Since Public.cy is an Apple Authorized Reseller, I’m wondering:
- Can Apple replace or swap the keyboard to an English layout?
- Would an Apple Authorized Service Provider be able to change the keyboard (even for a fee hopefully no fee cause I just opened the box did not even turn it on)?
- Is there anything Apple can do to help when a reseller behaves this way?
I have the original receipt and can provide the serial number if needed. I really want to use this device, but I’m stuck with a layout I cannot work with.
Thanks in advance for any help or guidance
