How do I resolve an Apple Watch asking for a different iCloud after factory reset?

i unpaired my Apple Watch and it went back to factory settings. Now it’s asking me for a different iCloud which I’m not the owner

I got this watch brand new but I can’t find the carton anymore

activation lock is not a thing on the watch it's a theft protection on apples servers


it needs to be removed How to remove Activation Lock - Apple Support About Activation Lock on your Apple Watch - Apple Support


if you don't know your appleID password If you have forgotten your Apple ID password – Apple Support (UK)


then you will need the assistance of apple Activation Lock - Support (apple.com)
