Should I keep using the 20%-80% charging rule on my iPhone 16e?

I bought the iPhone 16e (A wild upgrade from the S10+) and i'm loving it! I love the battery life, screen and camera specially. But I'm having a question with my usage.

Currently, and since i bought the device, i'm using the 20%-80% rule, sometimes dropping under 20% and I charge the device daily.

Recently, i've been noticing that my device may drop to 40-30% when I'm going to bed but that won't get me thru the next day following the 20% rule. Now my question is: Is it better to not follow the 80%-20% rule but charge the device every two days? Or should i continue charging daily following the rule?

Thanks to anyone that replies.

Many of us senior members of the forum believe the charge limit is more gimmick than useful. What most of us do, is plug our phones in to charge at night when we go to bed, leaving them plugged in to charge ALL night, EVERY night and we use Optimized Battery Charging, not Charge Limit. We wake up to a phone fully charged, which is enough to get through the day. Our phones usually won't go below 20% (which by the way, can prematurely age a battery) and our Battery Health is often very good.

I wonder if iPhone now has software built into iOS to automagically cycle its battery, like M1 Macbook does...

Not sure what you are asking about regarding the MI MacBook.

The battery in the iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 is designed to handle up to 1,000 Charge Cycles.....under ideal conditions......before the Maximum Capacity declines to 80%.

If users have set a Charge Limit setting on the iPhone 15 or 16 of say 80% for example, the battery will still charge to 100% on occasion to help with accurate battery calibration numbers.

Both the iPhone 15 and 16 will display the number of Charge Cycles on the iPhone under the Battery Settings. Other iPhone models will not display info about Charge Cycles unless the user installs third-party software.
