If I mute someone's text messages, can they still see my focus status?

I decided to turn my Focus/Do Not Disturb on along with the feature to “Share Focus Status” for everyone to see when they open our message thread. Ex:

“Jane Doe has notifications silenced”

Now, if I slide left on a message thread to mute someone are they still able to see my current focus status?

Focus mode for one contact with "This user has notifications silenced" message and still receive all other messages? Is it possible for a Focus mode to silence and display the "Jane Doe has notifications silenced" for one contact only? I want my boss to know when I'm not available, but I want everyone else to be able to reach me as normal. Right now, I have her as the only contact silenced, but she doesn't see the Focus state message. It seems that I have to silence iMessage in order for her to see that I have a Focus mode on, but then I miss potentially important messages. I would be so grateful for any guidance or solutions. Deleted unread texts showing notifications I’ve been using my focus modes recently and discovered a possible bug. Id prefer Scenario 1- regardless of focus mode being turned on. Scenario 1: Not using a focus mode. WHEN you have an unread message THEN a notification flag appears IF you delete the unread message without marking it read THEN the notification flag disappears. ✅ Scenario 2: Using a focus mode (mine specifically hides messages from A person). WHEN you have an unread message THEN a notification flag appears IF you delete the unread message THEN the notification flag remains active and does not disappear. ❌ To solve this, you need to recover the unread message AND open the message.

setting one app to not disturb in a focus i want to know if there’s a way to scilence one app and one app only in a focus. i want to receive all other notifications but none from this one app, if that makes sense
