I am a sceptic and not sure if it’s embedded with something as I have never seen this icon in messages/texts before… I don’t feel like pressing it and sharing my location or something to an overly curious person with no boundaries

the message is collapsed, push that button and you can view the full message. No security risks!

Gandolf is right. No, it’s not a new feature. It’s simply to collapse very long messages.

That's not how you share a location in Messages. Apple makes it very clear that you're about to share your location when you chose to do so.

I don’t know, I just zoomed in on the message and noticed “…” next to the button. I have iOS 15 not 18, but I would love to have 18!
