Symantec Endpoint Protection Uninstall

The best way to remove Symantec is with the uninstaller included in the app. If you just drag the app to the trash, all the files will not be removed and the uninstaller will no longer be available. If possible you can install the app again, then use the uninstaller in the app.

You can verify if you have any Symantec files on your Mac and also check that they have been removed by using the free version of EtreCheck to display the files in your launch folders. "Symantec Endpoint Protection Uninstall: I continue to get this annoying pop-up on my computer, but Symantec is no longer in my applications. I tend to be suspicious of things and don't click, but finally gave in once and clicked Uninstall. It came back moments later, but online every version of this pop-up has symantecs logo on it, and it won't let me close it. I still have the symantec logo in the corner but nothing happens when I click open Symantec. Does anyone have experience with this? "

Seems you are running Symantec Antivirus. If such is the case, then contact Norton, and ask them which uninstaller to use. Just dragging and dropping something to the Trash will leave files laying about, thereby resulting in a corrupt Mac.
