Alarm: not going off, seems to be tied to media volume

Hi, had some occasions this week of my alarms not going off again.

Attention Awareness is turned off, ringer volume is on full. I leave my phone sound on so it's not on silent overnight.

Past few days, alarms haven't gone off. I noticed my media volume was turned down (in the control panel). I tried a test alarm with the media volume turned down, alarm didn't ring and was silent. Then, pulled the volume all the way on full -worked. Then pulled it midway -the alarm rung but was quiet.

My "use buttons to adjust ringer and alert" settings is off.

Why is the alarm tied to my media volume instead of the ringer and alerts?

Hi, my ringtone and alerts volume is on full, and change with buttons is turned off. Has been that way the whole time

This morning when I tested it, a text came through at full volume but the alarm that followed was quiet. My phone was sitting on my bedside table where it usually is for morning alarms.

The only thing was my music volume was low and when that is turned up the alarm rings. If it's not all the way up the alarm won't ring, but my ringtone and alerts are on full volume

Change with buttons has been off the entire time
