How do I remove Activation Lock from MacBook Air?

You either need to:

  • Enter the Apple Account/Password
  • Provide the original purchase receipt from Apple or Authorized Apple Seller. Apple does not get involved in third party sales, so a receipt from a third party will not be accepted.

If you purchased this device used, contact the seller. If they are the actual owner of the device, they can remove it from their account. If they sold you a stolen device, then it will remain locked.
