How do I remove Activation Lock from my MacBook Air?

So I bought a 2019 MacBook Air and it was fine I clean installed Sonoma on it and was fine but this week I wanted to clean install again and used erase all content and settings and when I was in the recovery assistant which It booted into by itself said activation lock and was an email that was not mine and was not letting me boot from a bootable installer and I could not get past it so, after that I decided to come here

If you can't get the help of the person to whom the MacBook Air is Activation Locked, you don't bypass the lock. Activation Lock is an anti-theft mechanism.

We cannot remove it for you. Apple will not remove it except in very specific circumstances that obviously do not apply here. (E.g., you are the original purchaser, with documentation that satisfies Apple; a family member died & the court appointed you executor & you have an official court order.)

thanks I filled out a warranty claim with the site I bought it from and will see if there is anyway I can get a refund or a new Mac so I guess I should leave them a bad review
