Why did my Apple TV Home Sharing stop working?

I have the 4th gen A1625 apple tv and a 3rd gen 4k apple tv. I have itunes on a Windows 11 PC, and while I had occasional blips in Homesharing from itunes in the past, it's never just outright stopped working before and refused to function no matter what I've tried

So far I have

- Restarted both my laptop and the apple tv

- Logged out and logged back into all devices

- Turned homesharing on and off again on my itunes and on my appletv

- ensured itunes and appletv software are both up to date

- installed apple TV app with media library loaded into that instead per the apple site directions

- uninstalled and reinstalled itunes

- switched wifi/reset router

- factory reset appletv and repeated all of the above

I'm at a loss of where to go from here, and pretty much the only thing I use my apple tv for is to be able to stream from my itunes library to my TV, so it's a bit out of the count until I can figure out how to fix it. Any advice would be appreciated!
