Unable to access Google Classroom on my new iPad with error

We are logging into google classroom on my kids new iPad. The error message says ‘400. That’s an error. The server cannot process the request because it is malformed. It should not be retried’

The Error 400 Invalid Request response is a server side error code - that indicates that the server cannot or will not process the request due to something that is perceived to be a client error (for example, malformed request syntax, invalid request message framing, or deceptive request routing).

If you have a VPN App or profiles installed, or a security/AV/firewall App such as Norton, these may be interfering with your network connection. If applicable, the resolution is usually simple; if installed, you may need to disable or remove the Security App and/or VPN.
