Is it necessary to put a case and screen protector on a MacBook Pro?

Is it necessary or is it apple advisory to put a case and screen protector on a macbook pro? For MacBook Pro M4, Black Space,? I need your thoughts on this?

It is definitely not necessary, nor am I aware that Apple has this in any advisory AFAIK.


No offense intended, but if you tend to be on the clumsy side. That is, dropping things is more of a "habit" and not purely accidental, then you're best bet is by providing extra protection to your expensive equipment ... being electronic or not, to minimize any damage caused by those types of incidents.

The main reason for using a screen protector on an iPhone is in case you drop the display onto a rock, and it scratches the display.


The MacBook Pro can not open wide enough to drop it on a rock. it is NOT a touch screen. There is no need for a screen protector. if you choose to install a screen protector, you could damage the display coating, ruining the display. Don't do that!
