How do I find old messages on iMessage?
i have my messages set to keep forever how can i find them. is it that i have to just scroll all the way back or is there a easier way?

You can use the search bar at the top of the Messages screen.
However, the easiest way is going to cost a bit of money. Get yourself an application such as iMazing or TouchCopy. Both have Windows and Mac versions if I recall. You can use them to archive your messages into easily searchable text or pdf files.
