how to fix lagging and delay drawing of apple pencil second generation

I experience this when I'm on my note taking app. My pencil performance is a bit odd, when I stroke the pen in a straight line, it creates a broken line instead of a straight line. Further, the pencil responsiveness is quite delay, its having a hard time chasing the actual stroke of my pen on hand. Note that hand drawing on the note taking apps have no issue all over the screen.

Please anyone can help me regarding this issue? Any recommendations and suggestions? I'm feel frustrated and annoyed every time I'm using my pen to take down notes.

Ensure that the user-replaceable Pencil tip is snugly screwed into the body of the Apple Pencil; when fitted correctly you should see a tiny gap, of about the thickness of a sheet of paper, between the tip and pencil body. If slightly loosened, or overtightened, the Pencil may not work properly, if at all.

Are you using a Screen Protector? If applicable, try removing it.

Some Screen Protectors are thicker than ideal - and can interfere with the Pencil that needs to be in very close proximity to the iPad's screen-surface.

Hello @Lotus Pilot! Thank you for your insights I really appreciate it. However, I already done the following troubleshooting steps that I also get from other blogs and YouTube-comments:

1.) I have done changing the pencil tip, I bought 2 different kinds (2B, 2H);

2.) I correctly adjust the correct tightness of the pencil tip to its body following of what you suggest;

3.) I also restart my iPad several times, forgetting the Apple Pencil from my Bluetooth know devices.

Still it did not fix the issue.

I did not remove the screen protector yet because I am faraway from home. The area I am currently residing does not sell screen protector for iPads (mostly for mobile phones only).

Is there other suggestions you can give? I am out of options, cant afford to buy another pencil for now.

Thank you!

My standard Apple Pencil Tip was already worn and could scratch my screen. I always seek for replacement in any authorized apple store in my place, but they do not sell such standard Apple Pencil Tip. That's why I always used the so-called conventional pencil tips. I bought my iPad on Dec.30,2023, for almost a year of using, there's no problem at all, even replacing it with conventional pencil tips after it was worn. Around February this year (2025), I started to experience the issue I am raising now.
